Industrial sectional doors
The sectional door programme in a uniquely wide range
Sectional doors open vertically, creating free space in front of and behind the door. The door sections are stored flat underneath the ceiling, vertically above the opening or along the roof. Series 50 sectional doors made of steel, a combination of steel/aluminium or aluminium, will convince you with their unique programme range, top door design and certified security. Compact sectional doors stack the individual sections vertically, directly behind the lintel. The small distance back is particularly advantageous for halls with dome lights, glass roofs or glass facades.
Doors occasionally take up a large portion of commercial buildings. They thus offer substantial energy savings potential – for more information about the amortisation and retrofitting see the Hörmann energy savings compass.
Good reasons to try Hörmann industrial sectional doors
We think and act green
As a family business, we are very conscious of our responsibility to future generations and offer all products for construction projects as CO2-neutral versions upon customer request. In this way, customers have the option to offset remaining emissions and make a contribution to climate protection when purchasing our products. The Hörmann sustainability strategy aims to reduce and avoid emissions. We cover 100% of our electrical power needs at all European production locations with genuine green electricity. We also apply many other measures to reduce our consumption and save more than 75000 tonnes of CO2 each year. We work with ClimatePartner to offset the remaining emissions by supporting certified climate protection projects.
Movable centre support
The movable centre support interconnects building openings with up to three industrial sectional doors, enabling openings of up to 30 metres. Usage is particularly flexible and energy-efficient as the doors can also be opened individually. The centre supports are quickly and easily pushed to the side on a low-friction track behind the lintel to increase the size of the opening. The movable centre support is available for all industrial sectional doors with track application H.
Non-contact door monitoring
Leading photocell without surcharge
Power-driven Hörmann industrial sectional doors with WA 400 and ITO 400 operators are equipped with a self-monitoring closing edge safety device with optosensors as standard. You can also select the leading photocell VL 1 for non-contact door monitoring of the closing edge without a surcharge. The light grille HLG can also be optionally integrated into the frame. These solutions offer you increased safety, faster door action and lower inspection and maintenance costs.
Efficient thermal insulation
ThermoFrame
Well-insulated industrial sectional doors are essential in heated buildings. Hörmann industrial sectional doors are optionally available with the ThermoFrame frame connection for a thermal break between frame and brickwork. Additionally, lip seals on both sides of the door and a double seal in the lintel area protect from heat or cold loss, increasing the thermal insulation value by up to 21 %.
Manual for emergency operation
Thanks to the manual for emergency operation, operator-controlled industrial doors can be opened quickly and easily even in the event of a power failure, e.g. in fire and police stations. Operation is done using a manual with chain. The manual for emergency operation is available for all industrial sectional doors – also for doors with wicket door.
A permanently clear view
Maximum scratch resistance
Doors with DURATEC synthetic glazing stand up to tough demands in rough industrial environments, while maintaining their transparency. A special surface coating, similar to that used on car headlights, protects the pane over the long-term from scratches and damage caused by cleaning.
The DURATEC glazing is available as standard and at no extra charge in all sectional doors with synthetic glazing – only from Hörmann.
Practical solutions
Wicket door with trip-free threshold
The wicket door with extra-flat stainless steel threshold ensures easier passage of pedestrians. For doors with a width up to 5500 mm, the threshold rail is only 10 mm high in the middle and 5 mm high at the edges, reducing the risk of tripping considerably and making it easier to wheel things through. Under certain circumstances, Hörmann wicket doors with trip-free threshold can even be used as escape doors and for barrier-free construction.
Full passage height
Given the right door version and size, the clear passage height of the low headroom track application with swivel mechanism can reach the full door height, with just 200 mm of required headroom. This is particularly advantageous in the case of low ceiling heights such as in underground garages.
Suitable fitting solutions
With more than 30 track applications, industrial sectional doors can be optimally fitted in your building depending on the requirements. They include fitting variants for buildings where no load bearing capacity may be applied to the ceiling for structural reasons. Diagonal struts are used to support the horizontal tracks of the door on the frame instead of a ceiling suspension. Detailed solutions such as low-mounted spring shafts or adjustable components also facilitate maintenance and make the doors especially service-friendly.
Quick and simple torsion spring fitting
Faster and simpler fitting thanks to a connection bracket for shaft support and a spring tensioner: makes torsion spring fitting quick, safe and easy with minimal effort.
Just one fitter is required to install the spring shaft using the connection bracket for shaft support without any additional tools. Thanks to the spring tensioner, only one additional cordless drill is required to tension the springs, which completely takes over the strenuous task. This reduces the workload for the fitter and saves up to 50% of the fitting time.
